Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Furrion Ducted Air Distribution Box. This air distribution box is designed for your ducted Furrion Chill Cube RV air conditioner setups. And this is going to only be compatible with the Chill Cube components. And this is a low profile design, so it's gonna give you a seamless flush appearance in your ceiling. So as you can see, have that up there in your ceiling.
Only about a half an inch is going to be sticking out from your ceiling when you have this installed. So a really nice, low-profile design. This does feature a manual air shutter, so lemme see if I can peek over here, find that lever. So that's gonna allow you to control how much airflow you are wanting. So it's gonna be very simple to operate.
And let me bring this up just a little bit closer to the camera just so I can give you a good view of the buttons that we have here. Hopefully you got a good look there. We've got our power button, our gear button, our mode button, and then up and down, fan control, sleep, and then turbo. So very easy to operate. And then I'm gonna bring this back here, just to show you the reverse side so you can get a good look at that.
And then I wanted to point out that this does include a really, in my opinion, a really cool remote control. So lemme bring that back up to the camera here, just so you can get a better view of it. This does include batteries, and as you can see, I have the batteries installed and this has a really modern, very easy, clear to read LCD display. And as you can see in my studio here, it is 76 degrees. This has a wall mount, so you can secure this with the included hardware wherever's gonna be the most convenient for you.
Then just drop that into the cradle. This remote has a really easy to use keypad and you're gonna be able to adjust the functions on your air conditioner, but this is basically your thermostat as well. And this has a really cool feature called the Follow Me function. So that's going to let you adjust the temperature based on where you have this remote control at in your RV. And so you're gonna set the temperature, put this in a room that may be a little bit too warm for your liking, and then just leave this in that room. And then your air conditioner's gonna aim to get that room at that temperature. So a really neat functionality that this has, you will point this in the direction of your air distribution box to set those, the functions, the modes that you're looking for. It's not one of those proximity remotes. You do have to point it to the direction of the air distribution box. So it's gonna be very easy to use. It's a really great feature that's included with this. And again, batteries aren't gonna be included. It does include everything that you see here, the bolts to install the air conditioner and the air distribution box. And then the other components that you see here on my table. If you're wondering about the size of the box, it's gonna be 18 and a quarter inches wide and long. And again, this is just going to be compatible with the Chill Cube components. This ADB is a must have if you want to retrofit the new Furrion Chill Cube 18k btu Aircons. These units are super efficient and quiet. Because they were just released, reliability is still an unknown. However, their performance in-person is quite impressive.
Plug and play with the Furrion 18k BTU units. The 18kBTU R32 units are not compatible with a wall thermostat or zoning controller so these are the next best thing by being able to use the thermostat remote control from anywhere in the RV.
Anyone who will sell an A/C unit that a person can’t even turn on before they’re [made] to pay for a freaking control panel doesn’t deserve a good review. The panel actually RESTRICTS AIRFLOW, so immediately upon screwing it into the base, I had to take my Dremmel tool and cut the air deflectors out so it would blow straight out. $[XX] wasted. What a freaking racket!
The Furion Chill Cube with the plenum kit and wireless remote is awesome - It's very powerful and pumping out major air out of my ducted system - soon I'll be adding the rec pro ducted mod and that will increase its already landslide performance - I'm absolutely blown away but the head to toe performance of the 18000 Furion Chill Cube ac
Was an easy install once I figured how the accessory thermostat plugged in.
Works as intended and fit very nicely. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is smaller than the one it replaced and you can see the holes and indentation left by the previous unit, which was an Atwood heat pump A/C.

Just got it installed today and it is just how it's been described. Very pleased but I am having one challenge. How the heck are you supposed to get the darn thing registered? Can't find anything on the website. The scan feature does not take me to a registration site.
Obviously bought this at the same time with the Furrion Chill Cube 18k AC. This is a nice design in how simple it is without wiring necessary for a thermostast, however, since I was replacing my garbage GE, I still had to account for the furnace. The easies thing was to buy a battery operated "heat only" thermostat and with only two wires for the furnace it was a simple install. One caveat I would have for the remote is that it must be infra-red because you do need to be pointing at the ceiling controls for it to send info to the unit, if you change a setting without it pointing to the unit it won't automatically send that setting when you point it later. You have to make sure the unit beeps to let you know the remote is sending info to the unit. Instructions are not bad, but not great either, and neither is the install video from lippert, so if you're not a diyer this probably isn't the place to start. If you are, this is a very simple install. The LEDs in the picture actually do say "76", but, you know, LEDs and cameras...
